I contacted nvdida about this,But wondered if any one can help here.

Reducing the WEI seems to be a common thing with this new release. Try what is posted above or rolling back your driver.
Even better yet why not go back to one that worked best in the past?
I personally don't jump right into the latest release till I've seen some posts on how it is working out for others. Still don't understand why people are so eager to update their GPU driver every time a new one comes out.

I also like to recommend that people create a restore point before they download and install any new driver updates or programs, just in case they don't like them. It makes it much easier to uninstall the driver/app, then restore your system back to where you where before you made any changes.

If it ain't broke why fix it? At least until you know if their is any real world benefit to using it.
I also think that the newer drivers are geared more toward getting the most out of the Fermia's than older cards, but that's just my opinion.

My WEI scores for the 2 graphics categories was 6.7 prior to installing this driver. It still is 6.7. My overall WEI score is 5.9, limited by my HDDs.

I also got a .1 drop it my WEI. I am having problems with PowerDVD10 playing Blueray disks. Not sure it's related. I think I'll revert to my previous drivers and see what happens.

To be honest and no offence, you shouldn't be getting anywhere near a 7.9 graphics score with a GTS250 and a Q6600 at 3.2GHz. Maybe you are running SLI?

I only get a 7.7 with my 480gtx and a Q9650 at 4.05GHz.

The reason that score is so high is because of your low resolution. I think the newer drivers assume that everyone is running at least 1680x1250. The new monitor will probably fix the problem but will lower your frame rates and your WEI a bit.

I am reverting to 258.69 (or whatever the number was). I have a pair of GTX260s that I augmented with a GTS250 to dedicate to PhysX use. This setup works perfectly fine with the 258 drivers, but look at what happens under 260.99:

Not kewl. Not kewl at all. If I friggin wanted to use the second 260 as my PhysX card I'd never have bought the 250 in the first place!
