    PCI card reader driver needed

Have a sony vaio vgn sz430n laptop that I converted fom vista to windows 7. I got through the graphics driver upgrade without a hitch. I need to know if there is an updated driver for my TI PCI SD card reader for this laptop running windows 7. Any help would be appriciated.

Find the device in device manager and check for an updated driver for this and all of your devices.

The latest version of this driver, AFAIK is 2.0.0.8. Check the version you have.

    Updated Drivers

I updated all the drivers when I installed Windows 7. The driver I have installed is 2.0.0.9. Sony says that they do not support Windows 7 upgrade on this laptop. There's gotta be a way to make this reader work.

You didnt say in your original post the driver isnt working. What you can try is to use an older driver, say the one that worked in vista, then install it in compatibility mode.

Thats surprising, normally the vista drivers work just fine. You can try the XP drivers in compatibility mode, if that too doesnt work, you'll simply have to keep trying drivers (other sony models, generic drivers) till you find a working one.

Don't know if this will help but here's a similar thread, could your card be a SDHC card like this post?

Otherwise it most certainly is a hunt for the correct driver.
