    Software for gaming


    Hey I was wandering does anyone have any good tips on how to improve my computers gaming ability by downloading free software.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    The best way is to make sure all your drivers are up to date, especially your graphics driver. And make sure you close all unnecessary programs before you run your game.

    Please post your system specs and what games you are trying to play.

    Well I have haven't tried playing any games yet but the website I use to see will they play is "can you run it" and most of the time it comes up NO!

    If it comes up NO - then chances are it's a NO because your PC doesn't meet the specs.

    Game boosting software that 'disables' services, processes etc usually does more harm than good. It won't really turn that NO into a yes either I'm sorry to say.

    If hardware upgrades are required for certain tasks, theres simply no software that can overcome that fact.

    What games you would play? Latest or moderate ones? For moderate ones that require pixel Shader 2 or below 2, there's a software named 3DAnalyze which may run those games by emulating the required missing capabilities in your graphic card. I used it to run Prince of persia sands of time on my intel card, it worked flawlessly.
