    windows xp help!

    hey everyone,
just recently, i dual booted my computer with windows 7 and xp.
Whenever i go on windows 7, the internet connection works fine and perfectly, but whenever i swtich to windows xp, the internt doesnt work at all. When i go on device manager, i see a lots of yellow question marks beside "other drivers" and one of them includes my pci modem.
My computers modem is connected to a linksys router wrt110 and that router is connected to the back of the tower. Now im wondering, what should i do to get the windows xp internet to get up and running?

You have to install the drivers in XP as well as Win 7. I had same problem.

Use XP 32bit or 64bit according drivers to your XP version.

It doesn't make sense until you realize the drivers are part of the OS not the hardware or bios.
The driver connects the OS to the hardware and you have two different OS's.

XP drivers go in XP just like the Win7 wasn't even there.

Okay. You will need the make and model number of your modem.

    While on Win7,
Find the driver on the net and download it to an easy spot to find. XP-32 bit driver. If your XP is 32bit. Say the desktop.
Hopefully you have a Flash drive?
If you do copy file/download to the flash drive.

Reboot into XP. Copy driver to XP desktop from flash drive. Then install driver.
Then you will have to set up to dial and or connect to your ISP as you did in XP before or Win7 when you installed it.
Once you get on line you can then get the rest of the drivers and get Microsoft updates for XP.

I didn't know what you had since you had not listed a model or anything.

    Glad you have it working.
