My Samsung laptop keeps restarting after driver install

i have a samsung r560 laptop with the nivida 9600gt graphics card.
after i installed windows 7 64bit since there is no 64bit drivers on the samsung website i downloaded it from nivida's website.

after installing it, when my laptop boots it just reaches the logo screen then just restarts its self

32bit have no issues, you guys have any ideas?

If the videocard works fine without the drivers from the NVIDIA website, then why bother installing them? I'm also without drivers from the ATI website, but the ones Windows got are just fine! 32 bit may be working bacause it's another build. What are you running, around 7000, 7100 or 7200 and up?

So the 64-bit crashes with the drivers and the 32-bit does NOT crash with the drivers? Is that right? The difference between 32 and 64 bit is that in 64-bit you can use a little bit more advanced software for whatever it is you need, also takes full advantage of your processor. Have you tried Windows Update BEFORE you install the drivers from the site? That's pretty much something important, just try the 64 with installing the Win Updates first and see what happens. I'm not sure about this so If you didn't make a dual boot system don't bother making a pre-install, I'm NOT sure...

ok, with the 64bit i installed the driver from nivida's website that i downloaded, and with the 32bit i installed the drivers provided by samsung which is made for vista.
so i think maybe the driver is not a good match , and its really disappointing that samsung doesn't provide 64bit drivers with such high specification...
i got 4 G of Ram so just wanted to take full advantage with a 64bit.
looks im stuck with 32bit with my laptop

Could work, I suppose. One question - have you tried booting up in safe mode after installing the drivers on x64? To try safe mode, while your computer boots up keep pressing F8 'till you get a screen with different options. Choose "SAFE MODE" and hit Enter. See if it boots up. I highly doubt it though, the downloaded drivers will NOT load, still something else might cause boot failiure...

hey i've got the same laptop, last time i checked samsung didnt support 64bit operating system with drivers we require, hence why i havent upgraded to 64bit yet, although I've preordered windows 7 for my laptop now and would like to have 64bit installed.

Keep us updated on how it goes with drivers and support for 64bit plz!

    Hey

I have the same problems, 9600m GS is the card, ive installed the newest drivers off the nVidia website (work for my friend who also has 7 64bit Pro) but it just reboots during startup screen!

I have used Vista 64-bit prior to the upgrade since i wanted to use my 4gig plus have an install without the samsung bloatware. And that worked fine with the same drivers no less! I installed 7 from disc and wiped C: so its not artifacts from Vista causing my problem.

I love 7 and i can use it to work on but i also want to game and have aero any suggestions?

Seems to be an issue with all R560s and 7 64
