The last two updates here being the 9.5 and 9.6 didn't need it! Apparently ATI made some serious improvements on the driver installation part. It's still better to reboot just the same while you now don't have to stop everything just to restart for that.
(That helps when you are first installing 7 and waiting to get other things on!) | My System Specs |

I have an old case sitting here now that has to see everything cleaned off once I get to it with an old, old AGP card in it. I'll be in good shape just finding any 32bit Vista updates to see that one with 7 running! | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64, XP Mode, W8 RP VM, Linux Mint Debian 2nd OS HD- 7 Pro x64 second case CPU AMD Phenom II X4 975 Deneb 3.6ghz - 965 on new mini tower Motherboard Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 Memory Kingston Hyper X DDR3 1600 1.5v 16gb - Mushkin on 2nd build Graphics Card MSI HD Radeon 5750 1gb - MSI HD Radeon 6450 on mini tower Sound Card Creative Labs X-Fi XtremeGamer - Realtek onooard 2nd case Monitor(s) Displays 2 x Acer P191W 19" widesscreen - HP 20" widescreen mini towe Screen Resolution 1440x900 native - 1600x1024 on 7 Pro x64 build Keyboard Microsoft Recusa Razor - MS Comfort 3000 on second build Mouse MS Trackball Explorer - A4TECH dual scroll wheel trackball PSU Corsair 750TX - primary / Corsair CX600 - second Case Antec 900-2 - SSD compatible / NZXT Vulcan mini tower Cooling Zalman CNPS9900A Hard Drives Primary Ultimate x64 build-

You mentioned not having the board drivers on earlier? A look at the Intel support site since Abit seems to be down for some reason shows not too much but still some Vista 32/64bit items like bios, onboard audio, chipset???! The guru3d site now sees the 9.6 there as well as at the second ATI download site. Ironically they look like the exact same thing you would see going for the latest catalyst version at ATI Catalystâ„¢ Display Driver 7 Beta - 64-Bit Edition | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64, XP Mode, W8 RP VM, Linux Mint Debian 2nd OS HD- 7 Pro x64 second case CPU AMD Phenom II X4 975 Deneb 3.6ghz - 965 on new mini tower Motherboard Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 Memory Kingston Hyper X DDR3 1600 1.5v 16gb - Mushkin on 2nd build Graphics Card MSI HD Radeon 5750 1gb - MSI HD Radeon 6450 on mini tower Sound Card Creative Labs X-Fi XtremeGamer - Realtek onooard 2nd case Monitor(s) Displays 2 x Acer P191W 19" widesscreen - HP 20" widescreen mini towe Screen Resolution 1440x900 native - 1600x1024 on 7 Pro x64 build Keyboard Microsoft Recusa Razor - MS Comfort 3000 on second build Mouse MS Trackball Explorer - A4TECH dual scroll wheel trackball PSU Corsair 750TX - primary / Corsair CX600 - second Case Antec 900-2 - SSD compatible / NZXT Vulcan mini tower Cooling Zalman CNPS9900A Hard Drives Primary Ultimate x64 build-

tried these and failed, and yea guru3d does seem the same AND my card is AGP pimpin, so regular drivers don't work. weird right, I KNOW! And i have tried 9.6 32/64 bit - 9.3 32/64 bit and they ALL didn't work. These are drivers from the ATI site AND Sapphires web site as well. I bet if i had a AMD CPU i wouldn't be having this problem
If any knows how i could reinstall my chipset drivers i bet that might have something to do with it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number ME OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit CPU P4 Northwood 3.0 Ghz @ 3.4 Ghz (512kb Cache :( ) Motherboard Abit IC7-G Memory PC-3200 (3.0) 2x512 Kingston 2x1024 Corsair Graphics Card Sapphire HD 3850 512mb DDR3 !AGP! I dl'ed and installed 9.6 but the driver is showing 9.5 in the device manager. I tried manual install by selecting the folder for 9.6 to have the device manager upgrade it but it says I already have the latest version driver. Not really worried about it as it's running fine. Just a bit odd. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell E520 OS 7600x64 RTM CPU Intel® Q6700, 2.66 GHz stock clock (upgraded) Motherboard Dell Memory 4g (upgraded) Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon Toxic HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 (upgraded) Sound Card HT Omega Claro Plus (upgraded) Monitor(s) Displays 22' , 40" Screen Resolution 1050, 1080p Keyboard dell Mouse dell PSU Zalman 600w (upgraded) Case Dell Cooling stock Dell Hard Drives 1.5tb (upgraded) Internet Speed 100m Fiber optical Other Info Bought the Dell secondhand for cheap and upgraded cpu, vga, ram, soundcard, psu and HDD's. |
