Windows 7: Wireless Media Desktop 1000

It is a wireless keyboard and mouse. i wanted to know if it is compatible with windows 7 it says Vista compatible but when i get wireless mouse and keyboard to work it works for a few minutes and it seems like a firewall or something is disconnecting it from the computer making it not work. is there some hidden firewalls or anything on windows 7 not allowing me to use a wireless mouse and keyboard.

the keyboards name or w/e is : Wireless Keyboard 1000
the mouse name is : Optical mouse 2000
