Windows 7: Novation launchpad win 7 usb driver problem

HI - We seem to have a problem installing the Novation Launchpad to a Dell XPS Studio 9000 computer with Soundblaster soundcard, and Bose speakers.

We can use the Ableton music software on the computer and have configured the Launchpad in the audio settings, along with the Novation usb hub drivers - however, the Launchpad is not working or lighting up.

We have tried all the usb ports along with a powered usb hub and not working at all, yet the Launchpad will work on an old Xp computer system.

Can anyone help with this- have read on the forums re the Win 7 not having the option for the midi port things....... but we are not technical minded so really need simple instructions.... Please.
