    samsung driver errors

hi, I was tried installing my phone, windows tried and downloaded drivers, but the phone wouldn't stay connected to the PC with out the drivers. I kept sliding the option to connect and windows I guess searched for drivers while I did it everytime... ...so it installed 5 samsung programs with only 1 showing up in the program list as installed. The other 4 aren't installed but show up as installed programs that I cannot delete.

These are at the top of the Uninstall or Change a Program Window:

    Samsung Mobile Modem Driver Set
    Samsung Mobile USB Modem Software
Samsung Mobile USB Modem 1.0 Software
Samsung Mobile Phone USB driver Drive Software
(they show date installed but nothing under size or version)

The other one is showing up as-
Samsung PC Studio 3 USB Driver Installer (shows date installed - no size - verion 1.0.0.0)

I just want to uninstall it now and try again to make it right but it won't let me delete them, when I try it says:
"Samsung Mobile Modem Driver was not uninstalled successfully (12) There is no driver installed previously."

any ideas what I can do?

Have you tried uninstalling it from the Device manager? Also if you are unable to uninstall through Device Manager, what does the Device manager say in the Device status in general tab of properties?

nothing from samsung is in there, that I can find. I may just do another fresh install seeing how this one keeps getting errors, I dunno.
    Thank you for the suggestion.

I'm not sure what phone you have but I just went through the same headache with my samsung phone.
If you have a restore point to before you tried installing, I would go back to that.

The only way I got it to install finally was after I put a micro SD card in the phone.

That samsung studio is garbage, I never got that to install.

It's just a Samsung Instinct M800. I carelessly forgot to create a restore point but I am having other issues on this set up and may re-install again.

    Thank you all.

Here's the driver I used on my Home Premium 64 bit, 20070813082717640_Samsung_USB_Driver_Installer.zip - Windows Live

I installed it in Compatibility Mode for Vista SP2.

I couldn't get it to work until I put a micro SD card in the phone though.

    Hope that helps some.

I didn't realize it but that was the same driver as I was trying before :) I tried it again though, but got the same results. I'll try it again after a fresh install.
Thanks I let ya know later how it goes.

Do you have a micro SD card in the phone?

Mine wouldn't install until I put one in.
