savy118, welcome to the Seven Forums.

The motherboard has the Intel G41 chipset on it and you can find all the XP drivers for it straight from Intel,

    Hi thanks a million stormy,
chipset works like a dream graphics are much better.

i couldnt find audio driver, i checked realtek but they say it must match motherboard specs , so i checked hp they have realtek driver but i must have win 7 64 bit installed , all tho i have that i have a feeling its not going to work on my partitioned hard drive xp,
and hp dont have my model in xp.

do you think it would matter if realtek have it for xp, altho my motherboard is designed for win 7.

    best regards

Just get the XP HD driver from Realtek, it will work with any of their HD audio chips (your board has the ALC662 according the the specs listed at HP).

hi there again , im just wondering, and i know its a win 7 forum, so thought id ask on this thread, do i need a driver of somesort for dvd drive, as when i put blank dvd in it always says its full and canot back up data , i have even tried more blank ones, canot figure this out even in properties the disk icon is full blue all the time. i checked device manager no yellow ? marks and says its working fine.
