Hi mircea00

- (1) You can go to HP's website. There is extensive troubleshooting there. I went there to see and there is a whole section just on power management. I have found that looking, trying, and logical troubleshooting based upon the information of say Vista 64 on the HP website can help you see how to solve issues with Windows 7 64 (or 32). (2) The next thing I would try is to go - to the HP
driver site for your Laptop (based upon your model number) and ---sequentially download
drivers from Vista 64 that can be downloaded and run in the compatibility mode into Windows 7 64. I recommend that You take these one at a time. (3) It occured to me this might be a BIOS issue, and there was a BIOS upgrade there that may not have been installed for You. I check to see the version before I leap. (4) I have left most of the
driver installation to Windows 7 and I haven't had any major issues. (5) Some of the Manufacturer's of the Video etc. have Windows 7
drivers. (6) If after You have looked at all of this - HP has a Customer Service (C.S.) Number You can call. I would give it a shot to call them because Windows 7 is on the Horizon and I would hope You could talk them into helping You fix this issue.
I hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to keep trying this forum for more help. God's Speed to your efforts -- Patrick C
