Intel RAID Controller Driver - Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Hi Everyone,
I've recently had some trouble installing a RAIDO disk configuration under Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (see my 3rd reply here Help Needed....BSOD during Windows 7 Installation suspect that the drivers aren't quite Windows 7 "compatible", and are responsible for the problems.
I'm wondering if anyone here knows whether there are updated Windows 7 x64 drivers available for the Intel ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R/PO/PCH SATA RAID Controller distributed by Gigabyte? I've googled and searched the Gigabyte website, but I can't find the same files as shown on the original CDROM in the attached image.
These files are from late 2009, and I wonder if there has been an update that might fix the issues I have. This is for a Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3P Rev.1.0 motherboard.
Thanks,

Thanks Hopalong - its actually the Rev.1.0 version, but I've already looked there and didn't see the same format as shown in the image. It requires this format to be read during Windows installation....almost a pre-install format, if that makes sense.
Some of those drivers I tried, install from within Windows, which won't help since I haven't actually installed Windows yet. Unless Im missing someething obvious, which is possible...its been a long day. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Golden Mk. Rev 1.0 is the Bios version.
Found it and is same as above. That is the new Intel driver for your board.

I don't understand the problem I guess. The Moboard CD gives you the old one. Install then go get the new.
OR
Download the new driver. Put it on a Flash Drive and install before even going on the inernet if you want.
You select RAID/AHCI configuration in the Bios before installing Windows or a driver. Go download your manual it will tell you step by step how to set up the RAID.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but why not just get the latest drivers from Intel directly? I only use Intel systems, and always get my Intel-related drivers right from the source. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel Core i7-2600 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3P-B3 Memory 12 GB Patriot Extreme DDR3-1333 Graphics Card Nvidia GTX 470 Monitor(s) Displays Dell UltraSharp 2209WA PSU OCZ ModStream 700W Case CoolerMaster HAF 912 Advanced Cooling CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus Hard Drives OCZ Agility3 240 GB, WD5001AALS, WD7501AALS |

Mike Hi Hopalong. I did follow the instructions, but it BSODS when installing the RAID driver -- see my first post at the top -- the issue is finding the correct drivers (probably Intel) that can be installed during Windows installation. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Golden Mk.
