my webcam and cd drive won't work

I don't know what happened but my built in webcam won't work and now my cd drive will not even eject, there is no light on on the driver casing on the side of the laptop like there used to be. can someone help out?

I had to uninstall my hp quickplay then reinstall it but there was no webcam device in my control panel devices tray.

when the webcam originally crashed while taking a few pics of myself it said - not enough tv storage space - or something like that.

I just looked and the cd drive is not even an icon on the computer devices. its not even there.

it said device was not successfully installed because the driver was not found or there was a problem with an unknown device which took me to a small window showing usb device error code 43. I downloaded the invidia away mode driver/software but not sure what that did. as I still need the cd drive driver. it is still not there in the computer tray.

it also said the driver for coprocessor is not installed which brings me back to the unknown device window.
