Windows 7 - window/lexmark printer issues

Please help. Windows 7, Lexmark 2500 series printer. I've had to uninstall -reinstall a few times, it always ends up working for a while then stops. Situation now:
item in que to print, won't delete won't print, many many many hours. I've tried dealing with the PRINT SPOOLER, it won't actually spool. I tried STOPPING SPOOLER, get error message. I've tried uninstalling printer to reinstalling, I can't because lexmark in use. Then I thought maybe it'd print, cause it's in use. So I plugged in printer and connected, and now another version of lexmark downloaded so there'll be two to uninstall if I can ever get them to uninstall.
Oh. and a completely useless error message pops up every few minutes "program trying to send a message" when I view the message it say something about run time, and contact this program's support. So lame.
Please help me delete the print job so I can uninstall the two print drivers for one lousy printer. Please. I'm begging.

Advanced Uninstaller Pro - the best program uninstaller, Advanced Task Manager, Innovative System Optimizer and DriverMax

and download Advanced Uninstaller - this works really OK.

As for your Lexmark problem, I had the same scenario a while ago - even Lexmark could not help with a driver for my X2470 to run under Windows 7. I then replaced it with a Xerox p3117 and now use the Lexmark only as a generic scanner on Windows 7. I still install the Lexmark drivers from the install disk but under NO circumstances should you print to it....
