    upgrade

I would like to upgrade my Windows XP to Windows 7. Would i just go to the HP website and see if i am able to download that ? Also, i am trying to get my desktop to go wireless. I purchased a Netgear N300 but could not get it to work ? Any suggestions ? I have an old Compaqu Presario 1403 WM.

Hi SRJ and welcome to Seven Forums

Go to HP and see if your model can run Windows 7.
Then go to Microsoft and download and run the upgrade adviser to see if your hardware is compatible.

Win 7 uses more resources than XP so that may be an issue. You should have at least 2 gigs of ram, and a video card with 512 megs of video ram.

Here's a tutorial to help you if you can upgrade... Upgrade Install - XP to Windows 7

I would suggest a clean install though
