    Make sure you know what you're doing.

    The files needed may have been extracted to the program folder.

    Gigabyte supplies a flash burner to update BIOS directly over the internet. You have to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when using this as a mistake will render your motherboard inoperable.

    I am checking to see exactly what you need, I will be back shortly..............

    OK, here is your board at the manufacturer's site;

    GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H (Rev. 1.0) | Emaplaadid - BIOS

    <http://ee.giga-byte.com/products/mb/bios/ga-ma78gm-s2h_10.html>

    These are the current BIOS programs; I would advise against using a BETA here, Indeed, unless you actually need a function which is in the "NEW" BIOS I would advise you not to update at all, Your BIOS is recent, and your machine obviously works.

    Why do you want to update?

    ARE YOU SURE YOU WISH TO BURN A NEW BIOS ?

    If you are, and I take no responsibility for anything that occurs, here is the BIOS burning utility for your board;

    GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H (Rev. 1.0) | Emaplaadid - Utility

    It is called @BIOS

    Download it and get back to me...........Regards....Mike Connor

    You can find the instructions on Chapter 4 4-2-1 and 4 4-2-2 which is the @Bios in your manual http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList...78gm-s2h_e.pdf

    If you are not extremely confident in doing this then don't. A bad flash will brick your system and flashing your bios should only be done when the new bios specifically addresses an issue your having.
    The bios shown is also a beta bios so that's another questionable reason as to why not to flash it.

    Wait a minute, have to write a tutorial for it.....

    ONCE AGAIN I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO DO THIS UNLESS YOU NEED TO. IF YOUR MACHINE IS RUNNING PROPERLY THERE IS NO NEED TO DO IT AT ALL, IT WILL NOT NORMALLY BRING YOU ANY ADVANTAGES. BIOS UPDATES ARE ONLY NEEDED WHEN SOMETHING DOES NOT WORK

    Close all other applications and resident ( in the system tray) programs.

    Make sure you have a good internet conection, and it is stable. DO NOT interrupt anything once you have started.

    Start the program.

    Before you do anything else click "Save the current BIOS to file" to save it.

    If you have the new BIOS file on your machine already, you can choose

    "Update BIOS from file" and follow the on screen instructions.

    To update the BIOS from the internet;

    Click "Update BIOS from Gigabyte Server", Select the site closest to you and then download the BIOS file that matches your motherboard.

    Simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the operation.

    Click "Load BIOS defaults after BIOS update".

    Restart your system. If you have any special BIOS settings you use then you will have to set them up again on the next boot.

    I know I just hopped on this thread but the dos way using a flash tool is the safest way, but I'm guessing this doesn't offer that option...
    Actually, it does... Gigabyte has a wait... Flash Thingy option in the BIOS (i think it's F9) QFlash i got it.. you put the BIOS file you want to update into any USB drive (correctly formatted), reset your machine, press F9 at BIOS startup, select the device, the file and that's it... but Mike already gave the OP a good method.. so, i wouldn't say it's dangerous :)
