Samsung 216BW monitor driver not avail for Win7?

Samsung confirmed there is no driver for the Samsung SyncMaster 216BW monitor with Windows 7. There has to be a work around, and perhaps someone on this thread can tell me how to do it. I'm not a techie and geek speak will be hard for me to follow.

My machine worked just fine with the monitor when it was XP, then Vista.

ISSUE: I've recently installed Win7 and the VGA(Graphics) (Driver) (ver.1.0) from Samsung's driver downloads. When I plug in the monitor, my machine no longer acknowledges an external monitor.

Anyone out there willing to walk me through manipulating the XP/Vista driver so I can use my beautiful monitor with this Win7 machine?

    Many thanks!

They only made a Vista driver, but you can install it in compatibility mode.

Download the exe file to your desktop. Right click on the exe and choose troubleshoot compatibility. When the choices come up, try the Try Recommended Settings. See if it doesn't do the trick. If not post back and we'll try something else. A Guy
