well if you just mean it for good... just read again and put yourself in our positions...
you will find yourself questioning: "how often do i have to explain that i need these custom drivers because everything else wont work -and why do i even have to"

All I can say is that IF any of us that downloaded the custom drivers still had them then we would uploaded them somewhere for you to use by now!!

I myself have completely wiped my download folder and installed completely fresh copy of W7 on my main dektop PC now (hmm best update my specs).

Right lets do some troubleshooting, What happens when you plug the camera in to your pc? Does said camera work on another PC using the linked drivers from mircosoft?

the hardware is just fine because i use it -no joke- in the windows XP mode.

just in w7 if wont work with all drivers i tried (with every trie i made sure everything of the old driver is not on the system anymore).
w7 recognizes the camera but i always get an "initialization error" in lifecam and in skype or msn i just get a black screen.

When you start the install proccess, do you install the software first or plug the camera in then run the software?

you can try these ones but i'm not sure if they'll work MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

I've just tested my cam on a 32bit W7 install and windows update installed the software needed for it straight away.

I don't understand why people asking for these edited drivers for still when the drivers install via update

Cause it doesn't work for me, I installed it and everything but when I click start the green light on the camera flashes then nothing happens and I get the "LifeCam.exe has stopped working; check online for solution or close the program" massege, I'm going to see if the links work now.
    thank in advance.
