Windows 7: SATA Driver for 64 bit (Tyan s2875 mobo)

I have a tyan s2875 mobo with a sata hard drive. When I try to install windows 7 64bit it says it cant find a hard drive. Its done that to me every since I got the mother board. No biggie, I just put in my usb with the drivers and got it to work. Now with windows 7 i cant get it to see the drivers. Am I doing something wrong. I can't find a driver that will work. Any suggestions?

I am using tyan 2885 mother board windows 7 7100. With a highpoint raid card. I am not using on board sata for the operating system hard drive. Try the usb in another port, or try using a floppy drive, even with update not clean install I need to add drivers. using the floppy keeps the install simpler because it lists floppy as A drive the usb is listed at first as c drive, It does install on c drive but it takes time to think about it

Ok, I will have to hook up my Floppy drive. Any thoughts on where to find the driver though? I can't seem to find any. I have an older IDE drive sitting around that I think I might use instead. That one should work.

Well, thanks for the drivers. I couldn't get them to work. I tried both of them but nothing worked. I can see the driver it just says they are not compatable with this hardware or something. I also tried all the usb ports and was going to try a floppy but i guess my drive is bad

I'm thinking I'll just use and old ide drive instead.

I think that to use the sata drive it needs to be set as first drive seen. My Tyan board checks the ide drive first by default. Get into bios and check boot order. My guess is ide is before sata drive, leave dvd first you are not using floppy sata than ide drive. remove ide drive before install so boot secor does not get placed on it

i have a tyan s2895 and Windows 7 doesnt work on my computer because i have 2 sata hdds in raid 0. i tried many drivers but no one worked. what can i do?

I am using a Highpoint card 1820 with 5 raptor drives in raid 5. I am not using the onboard SATA raid. I believe if you use the onboard sata connections there is a setting for using them in raid or as single drives in th bios., hope that helps

that means that i can not use the onboard controller for a raid bundle and i have to use the hdds as singles?
