    Nvidia GTX260 driver

    Hello,
I have problem with nVidia driver. Every time, when I reboot system, I must reinstall graphic driver. If I dont, games or hard graphic programes are slow.
For example, game Vietcong 2. When I start PC without reinstall driver, map is loaded 4-5 minutes, but when I do it, map is loaded after 30-60 seconds + I have more FPS in game.
(Doesnt matter if is one year old or five years old game).
I anybody knows, how fix it, please help me. Thanks

    nVidia GTX260 (gpu)
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (cpu)
    Intel P5Q Pro (motherboard)
    Windows 7 Pro.. 64-bit (system)

What version of the driver are you using? I have a GTX260 with no problems of that sort on my win 7 ultimate x64 system. See my attachment. Hope it helps you with your problem.

    Welcome to Seven Forums
Try turning off automatic driver install Drivers - Turn Off Automatic Driver Installation

Then go install driver sweeper Guru3D - Driver Sweeper
Uninstall the graphics driver then run driver seweeper to get rid of any residual files.

Reboot your sytem then install the correct driver from Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

See if this will correct the problem

I recently upgraded but when I had my 260 these drivers worked the best for me - 260.99 (newer) and 197.45 (older).
