    Ethernet Driver, Help apreciated

    Hello there!
For a long time ago I bought a Packard Bell IMedia S1800, and was really happy with it, and I still am.
Two days ago, I got bluescreen all the time, when I started it up, etc, and then I tried Recovery, with disc, and everything is fine, BUT, the first time I had no internet connection because I was missing Ethernet Controller... So I thought it was something wrong, so I installed Windows 7 again, (I did remove it before installing it again), but still the same problem..
So, to make a long sotry short, I can't connect to the internet because I don't have the ethernet controller driver, I've been searching alot but can't seem to find anything.
And it tells me to install the driver, and it tries to do it automaticly but no luck :/
I would be really glad for any help! Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards,
    Ruby

Hi Ruby1337 welcome to the forums, here is a link to the drivers ftp://ftp.download.packardbell.com/D...07)/Driver/Xp/ its the realtek lan driver you require , if you tell me the year the pc was made we can narrow it down further , the drivers are sadly for XP only so install them in compat mode Compatibility Mode , Un fortunately your pc is what is know as a legacy model so packard bell no longer supports it

Thank you for the reply, but it didn't work, is it possible that I did something wrong ? It told me that it was installed, and I restarted, but it didn't work.. BTW, when I go to "My computer" or whatever ( I don't have the english language installed) and then to "Network" nothing shows up, that means I don't have the driver, right ?And i'm not quite sure the year of the model... This will be fixed somehow, right ?
