Correct driver for ati 9550 agp card?

having searched the net and found a million different answers and sites offering all sorts of downloads i am lost.

what is the correct driver version for a ati 9550 pro to run aero under win7?
asus k8v-mx board, 2 gigs of ram...

also when i run WMC video it says i don't have the correct hardware...i guess thats because the drivers are incorrect/nonexistant??

the amd support site says to use 10.2, but other post i have read say to use no higher than 9.3....anyone have a WORKING solution ?

I seriously doubt you'll get aero on that card. AMD dropped current Windows driver support for that card a long time ago. All you will be able to find is Vista-era drivers, and the driver file will need to have the term "legacy" in it to work. You'll have to install the drivers in Vista compatibility mode.

The ones I have saved to a thumb drive are 10-2_legacy_vista32-64_wdm, driver only and 10-2_legacy_vista32-64_dd_ccc for the full package. I downloaded them direct from ATI/AMD > ATI Catalyst

I haven't tried them yet, my card is a 9550 AGP with 256 megs of RAM. I'm waiting for the final release of SP1 before I try 7 on my backup rig with those drivers. I have a trial of enterprise to play with and want to try 7 on the old rig just for fun. Let me know if you get yours working.
