Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit / XP Home sp3

Welcome to Windows Seven

Have you checked to see f their are any Vista or XP professional 64bit drivers for your scanner? If so you can install them in compatibility mode either Vista or XP Compatibility Mode

Unfortunately if none are available it may be tie to upgrade your scanner to a windows compatible scanner. I know people get attached to their scanners but if you had run Windows upgrade advisor you most likely would have found it to be and issue going from a 32 to a 64 bit system Free Download PC Upgrade Advisor Windows 7 Hardware Programs Issues

You could setup a virtual XP machine and run the XP drivers Search th e tutorials for VMXP

Also if you could fill in the rest of yur system specs like what modle # your HP is it will help in the futurel.

I remember having posting an answer here, did it works? (the patch will work for any languages, but check it before):
scanning issue

You still can find the driver on HP Site and could install in Compability Mode if no available for Windows 7, as it said post above.
