Hello carolinaskies. Welcome to the Forum.

Well, the good folks at Lexmark want you to buy a new printer, don't they! Making new drivers for old printers is just bad for business .

The most current driver released for your printer was this one for Vista 32 bit:
    http://support.lexmark.com/index?pag...n_US&locale=en

You could try installing this driver in Compatibility Mode and see if it works.
Drivers - Install Vista Drivers on Windows 7

If the driver package is a zip file as mentioned in Option Two in the above article, then you could install the printer with basic drivers (foregoing the printer software and features) like so:
Driver Install - Add Printer Wizard
There is a separate driver (.inf files) for the printer, scanner, and fax and you can install all 3 or just one.

    Hope it works!

In your case I would install it by USB first. That will get the drivers installed (hopefully) and you can make sure it is running correctly.

Then you could attempt to install it on the network, which is sometimes difficult even when you have the correct network driver for the OS. But the printer driver will be already on the PC and you should be able to walk through the "Add A Printer" wizard to do so.

Remember that most printer software & driver packages require you to plug in the printer after the software is loaded and you are instructed to do so. If you have just the drivers then you can connect it first.
