Cant span my desktop to another monitor
Hi
Theres been an issue with desktop SPANNING for deulscreen gaming on a nvidia graphics card since the launch of vista GUI.
Note: i am speaking of desktop SPANNING being able to extend the resolution of a single desktop or screen to the second monitor.
aka (1440x900+ (custom resolution)1280x900) = 2720x900
This is critical to do deulscreen gaming in 3D or not. as the game then maximizes over both screens and your able to extend the GUI to all of the 2720x900 pixels.
I am currently running desktop extender
rightclick on desktop> screen resolution > multiple displays > extend these displays.
Although this works best with multitasking and commiting a single program to each monitor or using windows that are expandable like windows media player to increase productivity.
This does NOT however fix the Deulscreen gaming problem as the game maximizes on only one desktop. for example the 1440x900.
I am aware this works in windows xp but seeing as windows 7 is more expensive and new this should be available as well as additional options!!!
I am also aware this works on ATI graphics cards with eyefinity and hydravision. I and MANY others are using Nvidia cards WITHOUT THIS OPTION! Frustrated because we upgraded EXPENSIVELY to windows 7 and now we are actually having an even worse gaming expierience on windows 7 than on XP.
Now its been a long time since the launch of the vista GUI and that same GUI and some of it flaws came to windows 7.
Has there been a solution found?
Are you even looking into the problem?
Is this going to be fixed?????
Is there a screen driver i could use to add the function?
