Audio Bus Driver Problem in Windows 7

    Hi guys,

I've been having sound problems on my computer the past week. I'm usually really good with computers, but it has been updating and when it updated I had no sound after.

It is saying that there is 'No OutPut Device installed'. I'm on a Windows 7 and I think its a 64 Bit but I'm not positive. If you can help me at all it would be appreciated.

I had tried everything from attempting to install another update, to attempting to have the program fix itself. I've also tried downloading the Audio Bus on the HP website and nothing has worked. I'm worried I caused more problems then the original one. Anything you guys can help with would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is the driver from win 7? if not install in compatibility mode

Have you tried installing the driver in safe mode?

Do you have a backup from before the problem started?

DO you have the win 7 dvd to do a repair install?

I bought the computer with Windows 7 already installed, so I have no backup disks, although i have been making them.

I'm not sure how to get into safe mode (i'm usually a mac user Lol)

I already tried system restore from when the problem started and that didn't work.

I don't have the Windows 7 Dvd Because it was already installed. I'm not sure if the driver itself is windows 7. it could be XP since the company installed it. Not sure.

    Thanks :)

Their are several ways into device manager 1 way is to right click my computer>manage>device manager>go to the device and click on it>properties>details tab>drop down menu>select hardware id (first one) Copy and Paste the hardware Id string and we'll use that to look for a driver.

To find out if your running 32 or 64 bit windows go to my computer at the top click on system properties as we will need to know that
    Thanks. Fabe
