You didn't give us much to go on, but are you using the proper drivers for the device?

there isnt really much to give to be honest

the device is picked up as a usb hub and not a usb bluetooth device
    everytime i plug it in

windows update dont work because it thinks its a hub
the drivers exe wont work for the same reson

I can't fully unpack the widcom drivers to do a manual install due to how they have packed ( i have unpacked them but I can't install fom the folder)

I either need the microsoft bluetooth drives complete so i can manual install them or
i need the widdcom ones unpacked as the exe does not see the bluetooth device
as its installed a usb hub

    that make any sense ?

worked fine before i formated it and reinstalled windows today

There is plenty to give. How about the brand and model number? I'm assuming it connects by USB, right? Do other USB devices work just fine? Do you have the chipset drivers loaded for the board? Have you tried unpacking with 7Zip? Have you googled the model number and USB Hub to see if others have the same issue? What platform of Windows 7 are you running?

Ah, that was easy! I was hoping it would come down to a simple fix like that...just a matter of having the right files. Glad you got it working.
