    USB Hub Drivers

I can't seem to find drivers for the hubs in my device tree. Such as "Intel ICH10 Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3A3A" and the others. I thought these got updated when you updated the chipset. Evidently not.

The present drivers are MS 6/21/2006 Ver 6.1.7601.17514. Are these out of date? Surely they are. They are five years old.

I updated with intel chipset drivers Ver 9.2.0.1021.

    Hey HammerHead.

That's a little bit weird, i have a ICH7 southbridge (running on latest chipset drivers) and in the device manager says they're updated...

Have you tried to manually update them? right click the device, update drivers manually, go to the folder where the intel chipset driver is and see if it updates that way.

Or reinstall the chipset drivers. let me know how it goes.

    Sheesh!

I manually updated one hub by going to the directory where I unzipped the files. I'll try the rest of them now. But I stopped to answer you. I don't know why they didn't update, the PCI drivers did. I tried the command line -overall and -overide and that didn't get it. I'll post again when I get them all updated.

    Controllers

I was successful with the controllers. What about the hubs? They are showing MS 6.1.7601.17514 (6/21/2006). Manual is not working in the unzipped directories.

    Yeah, Yeah

That's them. Are they forever cast in stone with that driver? I'll post a snip before we hit a language barrier. They say USB Root Hub. The controllers are right above them. The controllers are up to date.

Yep they're the same.. USB Root Hub = Concentradores de Raíz USB (my english is good, i just wanted to make sure that we were talking about the same devices hehe)

The ones that says "ICH10" (or "ICH7" in my case) are up to date, but the ones we've been talking about have the windows drivers from '06!

    Hubs

Your english is good! My linguistic abilities are nil or below.

I have searched for drivers for these hubs and the only place I have come across any newer was on sites that are selling driver updaters. I'll find some sooner or later.

I have run infist_autol.zip on to rigs I have and I have had to finish the update manually.
