    IEEE 1394 Firewire Nec (problem IRQ)


    Hello
    My Firewire controller work not correct On firewire use soundcard
    In Windows Firewire IRQ 14
    And Controller Hard drive IRQ 14
    Then i lisen music and work Hard drive Sound is crash in milli seconds And sound play next
    In BIOS i change IRQ on 10 But Windows no changes (IRQ 14)
    ACPI in BIOS not Diasable Only 2 menu S1 and S3
    how change IRQ and how repair this problem
    In Vista also same
    In Winows XP work
    My Windows 7 x64 bild Final
    Motherboard Gigabyte GA-P35-DSL3
    Firewire Nec
      My Computer

    Have you upgraded the sound card driver? you need a different driver for win 7

    Many people use this soundcard (focusrite saffire) in Windows 7 And not problem
    Drivers on Vista and XP --- But In Vista 1 in 1 This Problem hmm ((( sound micro crash

    Im sorry did you mean yes or No on the driver upgrade. Also was this a clean install or an upgrade?

    official driver no enter
    But why i have problem in Vista
    In driver specify Vista

    Ok, just plug out your FW card and insert it in the another PCI slot. That way it'll get another IRQ - usually one PCI port is on a non shared IRQ - you need to figure out which one is.

    solution to FireWire IRQ issue


    Hello
    Using the onboard IEEE I had issues with using my Focusrite Saffire FireWire card.
    The issue is was that the IRQ set to that port was 19 and was shared by other devices. So I bought an SIIG Firewire 3-port PCI I/O card and installed it in one of my PCI slots on my Motherboard - that slot was assigned IR 16 and all the issues are gone.
