Driver issues with Epson Event Manager

I moved my Epson GT-S50 doc scanner to a new Windows 7 pro 64 bit system.
The Event Manager configuration does not keep values I configure.
For example, it defaults back to 236dpi regardless of what I out in the custom area.

The Windows 7 driver for this is epson13441.exe (Event Manager).
Also, the scanner is VERY slow if scanning from one of the front panel buttons.

Has anyone else seen this ?

I have opened a case with Epson but they have not been helpful in resolving the problem.

Thanks

Epson finally replicated the problem. They sent it off to the programmers. According to them it may take weeks to get fixed. Better late than never.
