My ASUS C90S works properly in Windows 7 with their original UPEK Vista driver installed in Vista compatibility mode. It works properly for the things I use it for: I log in with a finger swipe and use the Password Bank the same way.

    Bye.

    Try this

Download the latest upek software for VISTA via upek from the link above (will likely send you to the manufacturer of your laptop).
If you use firefox version 3 or later you will need to use the protector suite software since the oem software doesn't support firefox (even with the plugin)
when you restart the computer after you have installed the software, the icon we all missed will be back in the system tray. however when you 1st go to enroll a finder, it will tell you no device was found. Simply go into the device manager and uninstall the biometric driver. When asked if you want to remove ALL the software, say yes. Once finished, right click in the device manager and say scan for hardware changes. it will find the print reader, re-add the original windows 7 driver and thats it. you reboot and you're up and running. (just finished mine 5 minutes ago. working good)
