Hard Drive?

I have an Alien Laptop with two different hard drives installed. One of the hard drives works and has Windows XP on it. The other doesn't even show up when I am trying to install Windows 7. The hard drive I am trying to install Windows 7 on shows up as a SCSI drive. Why is that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This probably should have been kept in your other thread. Anyway, since it is a recent laptop, you don't have a SCSI drive. That's what was confusing me in your other thread. Some chipsets/drivers show AHCI controllers and their related drives as SCSI in XP.

This is why it is important to fill out each section of your system specs. We've gone back and forth just trying to figure out what hardware we are dealing with, before we can even suggest the next steps.
