Hi,
I am trying to install Realtek HD Sound drivers; I have been unable to find any drivers that are written for Windows 7. So I have been downloading the Vista ones without success. I have tried loading them in compatibility mode and under windows vista and xp but each time it just says error during installation or OS not supported.
Does anybody know where I can find Realtek sound drivers for windows 7?

The latest version (from my devise manager) from MS is:
Dated: 4/21/2009
Driver Version: 6.1.7100.0
Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows

RELEASE DATE: June 22nd 2009
DRIVER VERSION: R 2.27
Driver Version In Device Manager: 6.0.1.5874
As you can see the first is the newest release from MS.
Did a Google search and came up this one: Realtek HD Driver 2.27 (the newest release) Not sure how this will coincide with the latest MS release, however, you might want to give it a go.
I find that peculiar, when did an "Update Driver" search from Device Manager it showed the Realtek R2.27 version as the latest update available. When I googled it, it v6.1.7100.0 did not show. Also, why would a driver dated 4-20-09 show a new build than one dated 6-22-09?The latest version (from my devise manager) from MS is:

Whizkid, Realtek website shows the R2.27 driver as this: Vista, Windows7 Driver(32/64 bits) Driver only (Executable file)
