    Dell XPS M2010 Sound Problem - HELP!!


    Hi everybody.

    Ive just upgraded my OS from Vista 32bit to Windows 7 32bit. The OS is running but Ive got a few hardware problems.

    I cant get any sound out of the speakers. Ive tried to reinstall the drivers but this does nothing.

    I tried a system test where it tested everything from bluetooth, the screen and speakers. I hear the speakers when it does the 8 tone test but I cat hear anything in Windows.

    I looked on the Dell website for the sound driver and found out that apparently my XPS M2010 doesnt support Windows 7. Ive done some searching on Google and found others who have had this problem. Problems have also ranged from the webcam failing and bluetooth failing. These both seem to work fine for me but the sound doesnt.

    I tried to contact somebody through a Google find who managed to get their sound working but I cant get a reply. Dell initially said they were going to make drivers to support Windows 7 but that plan has been scrapped and they have confirmed the arent making any drivers.

    Has anybody on here had the same problem as me with this model or another model. Is there a 3rd party driver I can install to get the sound working or any advice somebody can give me to fix my problem.

    The laptop is obviously useless without sound and now Ive experienced Widows 7 I really dont want to go ack to Vista. Please help me

    Got it working. Just had to delete the sound driver and install the Windows Vista 32 bit one off the Dell support site. Thank god thats fixed
