No display via HDMI

HELP!!!!

I recently purchased a Dell n5010 and i cant seem to connect it onto my 40" Bravia HD LCD.

i'm trying to connect it via HDMI.. but somehow the laptop doesn't seem to display on my Bravia.. At first i thought it was the cable issue, but the HDMI cable works perfectly fine on the DVD player. Ive tried all short cut keys but it wouldn't help ?

I am using Windows 7 (64Bit)

Could someone guide me in solving this issue..
Would appreciate the help ..

Hi, welcome to the forums

Does your Bravia have more than 1 HDMI port? If so you may need to enable HDMI for all ports (I know I have to with my Pioneer).

When you say "Shotrcut keys" I take it your talking about the function (FN) key and F-Key combinations?
