Need help finding a driver for my PCI Firewire/USB card

    I need some more firewire ports!


    hello!

    I need some more firewire ports, so i thought of this one BELKIN IEEE 1394 PCI CARD 6PIN W/VIDEO STUDIO 5.0 IN (F5U502EA)

    Will this be compatible with my current setup? I mainly use my computer for making music.

    Need help finding a driver for my PCI Firewire/USB card


    Hello!

    I bought a chep Firewire/USB2.0 PCI card. But the drivers that came with it is only for Windows xp. i tried installing them but it didn't work. (I used compability mode aswell)

    The card is called "CK-0021 A/B"

    when i used sisoftware sandra to get some more info on what i have put inside my computer ifound this:

    Did a quick search for drivers and everything I've found shows the last driver update was back in 2006. This may be one of those times when the device is simply too old for Windows 7. Hopefully someone else might be able to find a newer driver.

    Hi!

    No real matches, this is all i found on the web...

    btw have you tried to run it in "xp compatibility mode", i had the case once & i worked for me...

    but now my other firewire port (directly from the motherboard) seems to have stopped working... any thoughts on how to solve this?

    What does it show in Device manager?
    Have you tried installing the Motherboard drivers again?

    It's doesn't seem to be any problem with it in the device manager. no warning signs or anything. I did try to reinstall the drivers, but it's still not working. (i need my firewire port for my external audiocard)
