    HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m

I have an HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m and have been trying to install the driver on my computer. I have Windows 7 32 bit. I have the installation CD, but that doesn't seem to do anything. I have gone to the HP Customer Care site and tried to install the driver for x32, but my cpu does not show the printer and the device that was added says it needs troubleshooting (which doesn't work). Another computer in the house has a 64 bit system and installed it without any problems. I want to be able to scan wirelessly. What more can I do!?

    Photosmart

I am using the same printer on Win 7 X64 with no problems.

You mentioned wireless. You are probably allready aware but to install it you must first install it via a usb port. Having said that I will ask the name of the install file you have. Here is the one I used. ----
    PS_AIO_06_B209a-m_USW_Full_WIN_Enu_140_175.exe
    File Ver 1.0.0.0 size 166mb

Are you trying to share the printer with the first Rig? If so you need to set some shares etc.

I believe I used the same file. The first cpu I had I followed all the install directions and used the CD, but that cpu is long gone! For my husband's cpu (x64), we downloaded the driver and used the usb. He now prints wirelessly (and scans). My new cpu (x32) has been the problem, when using the CD or downloading a driver.

    One printer

I hate when I am so dense.
Are you wanting to share the printer via a home network (between two computers)?

    OK

    Some obivous things to check.

The rig that has the printer plugged into:

Do you have a Home network configured? If so have you set the printer to shared?

    The second rig:

Once again must have a home network installed. You must be able to see either computer from either rig. Check this by looking at your tree or network panel. Once you can communicate via the network. Go to the second rig and add a printer via the printer and devices panel. Add the printer as a shared network printer.
