    Sony vaio unpgrade from 7 to 7 pro problems!!


    Hello Friends. I am new to this forum. I need your help. My wife has a Sony vaio vpccw21fx that came with windows 7 home 64 bit from factory. We had to install the professional windows 7 version on it to run some software. It installed fine and I works ok I guess.
    The problem is that It does not want to recognize its own battery and It will go into hibernation all the time. I cannot place the battery on it. It is the original battery and was working fine before. I was able to charge it for some days but now nothing. There are some function keys such as the brightness control and so on. They do not work either. The device manager only displays a messages that reads: other system devices/ base system device.
    I tried to reload all the drivers from the sony web page including the battery manager one and nothing.. does anyone have a clue?? it would be greatly appreciated!!

    Try reinstall the Sony Windows 7 x64 from factory Recovery,
    than do a anytime upgrade.

    Anytime upgrade only adds-on the Programs & Features from version to version.
