I'm not having problems but happened to notice that my HDD driver is old.
The driver date is 6/21/2006.
Should this be replaced?

Wouldn't worry George my PC built in 2009/2010 has the same HDD drivers.

If you are not having any problems then it is not necessary. Unless you know of a driver update offering increased functionality or reliability then it is best to leave it alone. Also, replacing drivers can sometimes cause far more problems than it solves.

OS Several, including Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
There is nothing to update as it is a Windows driver. Everyone's HD driver will have the same date and version number. If fact the even for most (if not all) Windows/system drivers the date didn't even change after SP1, just the version number. Here is what I have showing for both a hard drive and the IDE controller drivers,

That's good news, thanks!
