Windows 7: Help Clueless! USB Device

Hey all!

I need help with locating and fixing a usb device on my laptop. The built in webcam and mic are not workng and i get a message that a USB device has malfunctioned and the computer does not recognize it. When i click on it it takes me to this other screen but it doesnt show me how to reconnect it.
I know i'm not explaining this right but if any one knows what i'm talking about please help me?

Hi Frosti, welcome to the forums, if you would be so kind and tell us the manufacturer and model of laptop you have we will be able to assist you further

You need to be careful using this app, but it will show you all USB devices that are or have been connected to the system.

You can uninstall/delete usb devices as needed and then plug them back in and see if they get reloaded.

I personally think this app is safer than trying to work with USB issues in Device manager though

View any installed/connected USB device on your system

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page for the download file.

Thanks for trying to help! the make of my laptop is HP Pavilion dm4-1065dx entertainment notebook?
Also, I am thinking that this usb drive has something to do with the built in webcam and mic.

Could you please post an attached image of "Device Manager" with "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" opened like the one in the attached picture.

I am wondering if you are having a driver issue.

by the way the screen that says a usb drive has malfunctioned code 45, or 43 screeen is not appearin anymore. Anyhow, i click all those usb drives and every one of them says its functioning properly. This means the one that's malfunctioned is not in the pic above. How do ifind it? how do i reconnect it?
