    SCSI Hard Drive Driver?

Does anyone know of a website that I would be able to find the drivers for a scsi hard drive? I have been searching for what seems like weeks now and can't seem to find anything.

The driver you probably need is not for the SCSI "drive" itself. It's for the SCSI "host adapter" to which the drive is attached.

Please give brand/model specifics of your machine... laptop or desktop (probably) and type/model/details, SCSI drive (internal or external), SCSI host adapter to which the drive is cable-connected.

    thanks.

Did you also recently post a second thread on this same problem, same machine?? Or is it the same machine?

Do you have two machines that have SCSI problems, or one?

Are your System Specs correct? Do you have a Dell machine? Why not call Dell support and ask them for help?

Was it a Win7 machine from Dell to begin with? Or was it Vista or WinXP, and you decided to upgrade?

But I'd still check with Dell if you bought it from them.

Anyway, you need to provide more specifics on your hardware in order for us to help.

It is an older Alienware Laptop probably between 5-6 years old. It was a WinXP machine to begin with and decided to upgrade from that. I also just have one machine that has been having issues with a sata hard drive becoming a scsi hard drive.

In XP, SATA controllers would be listed as SCSI controllers, as well as the drives showing as SCSI drives.
I can't recall any laptop using actual SCSI drives. I can't recall there being a 2.5" SCSI drive as well which is what would be installed in a laptop.
