    Unknown Device assistance

Hi Win7Forums How is everyone doing? I have an unknown device in my device manager...I have never figured out what it is. I have a Compal JFT02 (which I bought from IBUYPOWER). Just tell me what info you need and let the DEBUG begin!

I saw your other thread at Bluetooth Issues in 7201 x64

What is needed here would be the section in the device manager the item is seen under in order to go from there.

Besides the Blue Tooth problem you saw before do you have anything else plugged in or forgot to install drivers for addon tuner card or something like that. That could also be for the keyboard and/or mouse if that's a programmable usb model as well as the lcd you have there.

Generally I see that most often with the tv tuner card in use here when still not having that taken care when the fresh installations were on but put that aside until last. One fast way however is to go into the Control Panel>Windows Updates and allow that to check for any optional hardware updates there.

There is one in the laptop (or so I think...) and my manufacture refuses to acknowledge it's existence. The drivers they provide won't even install and what not...I wanted to make sure that it wasn't anything else. I will try to take pictures of what I think is the TV Tuner in the laptop (its really odd and uses a really wierd plug...) and see what you guys think tomorrow...thanks Black Hawk

PS Windows Update doesn't even know its there either...(wierd huh?) and the only solution that Windows Action Center comes up with is installing smart battery (which will not work either)....could that be it?

The DM is indicating something. It might even be something with multiple pieces where a driver is still missing or simply didn't go on or wasn't made active resulting in the question marked item seen there. With optional addon devices like a tuner card included with the laptop you may have to reinstall something to see that disappear.
