Atheros AR9285 WiFi Adapter not working
System Specs:
A couple of days ago I posted a BSOD report in the appropriate section (here) and was told it was my WiFi adapter so I uninstalled and reinstalled it.Code:Manufacturer: HP OS: Windows 7 (SP1 wont update) WiFi Adapter: Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter Driver Date: 2/22/2011 Driver Version: 9.2.0.310
(The driver was automatically reinstalled by windows update, but I also have a copy of the driver from HP which I installed afterwards.)
(One thing to note is that the date of the driver from before I uninstalled it, is different than the date of the current driver I have installed, even though before uninstalling I tried to update it and windows said everything was up to date. Sadly I don't remember the version number [of the previous driver] but I know it started with a nine.)
Now though, I can no longer connect to any network wirelessly. When I "diagnose the adapter" I get the following message(I underlined the part that seemed important):
Notice: I windows recognizes the adapter:Code:Windows Network Diagnostics Issues found There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless N...
