Hi,
if your current driver is working OK don't worry about that particular update. I have an Nvidia card and on a couple of occasions the newest available driver has given problems as you describe. I just reverted back to the "old" driver and waited for the next release which generally fixes any problems.
thats kind of what i was thinking leave well enough alone...thanx
While normally I'd also go for the whole "if it isn't broken..." story, this time, the 270.61 drivers actually help a fair amount for the GTX cards. More for the GTX400/500 range, but the GTX200 range also got a few improvements.
Do the drivers extract fine then fail when trying to install? If that's the case, use Driver Sweeper to clean off current NVidia drivers in safe mode, restart normally and try install them again (don't worry about the automatic driver install that Windows does, it's about to be replaced anyway).
However, if the files don't extract correctly, you might have a corrupt installer.. Clear your browser cache and try download the update again.
By the way, what GTX do you have? Your system specs just says "Asus Geforce GTX"..
Gtx460 ya they extract fine they start to install.but thats about it.then fail.sorry i' m on my phone writing this. Forgive the selling
No problem.. And nice choice of card, a friend of mine recently got a 460 as well..
Perhaps try install a previous of the drivers to test. If another version installs without a problem, then it's the 270.41 driver installer. If another version does the same thing, then try Driver Sweeper as I mentioned in my previous post.
I will. The last time i updated it went fine. But i will try you sugestion. Thanx . I'll b in touch.
thanx ZaLith that seemed to work ... thanx again
