Atheros AR9285 WiFi Adapter not working

    System Specs:
    Code:
    Manufacturer: HP
OS: Windows 7 (SP1 wont update)
WiFi Adapter: Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter
    	Driver Date: 2/22/2011
            Driver Version: 9.2.0.310
A couple of days ago I posted a BSOD report in the appropriate section (here) and was told it was my WiFi adapter so I uninstalled and reinstalled it.
(The driver was automatically reinstalled by windows update, but I also have a copy of the driver from HP which I installed afterwards.)

(One thing to note is that the date of the driver from before I uninstalled it, is different than the date of the current driver I have installed, even though before uninstalling I tried to update it and windows said everything was up to date. Sadly I don't remember the version number [of the previous driver] but I know it started with a nine.)

Now though, I can no longer connect to any network wirelessly. When I "diagnose the adapter" I get the following message(I underlined the part that seemed important):
    Code:
    Windows Network Diagnostics

It would really help if you were to fill out your system specs

Have a look here, these are the newest drivers I can find; Latest Atheros WLAN drivers for Windows 7 and Vista (x86 & x64) - LaptopVideo2Go Forums
    I hope this helps

have you tried downloading drivers from HP? I would send you a link but your specs are still not complete there are numbers missing after the G62
    Try this one http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...null&site=null

Okay, sorry I thought I said in my original post: The drivers are from HP's website here: Software & Driver Downloads HP G62-355DX Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)
by the way I'm not certain of the laptop's full product name because the sticker was peeled off on the bottom and the HP program on my computer that's supposed to tell me crashes every time I open it. I used Automatic Product Detection to find out but it doesn't really give a conclusive answer... in any case I'm 99.99999% certain that my drivers are up-to-date and that they're the right drivers, because Windows says they are.

Thanks, anything else you can think of would be much appreciated.

UPDATE: So I tried using the HP Support Assistant (that's the HP program on my computer that supposed to tell me my model number) again and was mucking around in there when I came to "Troubleshoot Network and Internet Connectivity" all it did was examine my network options (I think) but it discovered the wireless signals in the area and when I went to Internet connection tool in the taskbar I had the option to connect to networks.

    So SOLVED I guess.

    Thanks,
