    Sound/Audio Driver failing to work

    Hi!

I have recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 (Home Premium 32bit) thinking that my Sound driver would work on it; but it doesn't. I should have SoundMax HD Audio, but it only works on XP and I don't want to downgrade to XP just because of sound. Can you please help me with this problem? I've tried all the basic stuff like upgrading all my drivers and stuff, but still nothing....
    Please Help!

    Welcome to SevenForums
You have looked in your Windows update for a possible update for your sound driver? You have a working driver in device manager? No yellow ? in the audio games sound controllers? Is the speaker showing in your notification area of your task bar? If it is showing right click and see if it is configured correctly.

Yeah done all that everything's configured correctly, i've got the latest update to that driver. I read some other posts, and apparently the driver works on Windows 7, but no sound comes out of the speakers. This has happened to countless people, there were some dl links in those other posts, but they all expired or the website moved to another URL

What's the specific model # imprinted on the card itself? That's the driver I'd look for....
If it's a generic model rebranded that will hopefully lead you to the promise land.
