    Windows 7 Driver Testing Mandatory

In a long explanation of the Windows Logo Program, Microsoft spelled out the new requirement. "Beginning with the release of the first beta of the next operating system, all Windows Vista client and Windows Server 2008 submissions must include a complete [set of] test logs for the new beta OS," the company said in the document.

Sounds like they're trying to make sure those who have Vista will have no problems upgrading to Seven. That would be nice. :) Vista gave me more problems than any when I first started using it. Most of my own doing, I must admit.

    Hello Gary ... :)

I like to look at it the other way; that they're ensuring that there'll be no Windows 7 driver problems!

    Got your fingers crossed?

I hope they get it out well. I remember getting a Vista Ultimate upgrade disk, and I just popped it in and tried the instant upgrade, which I was already being optimistic about. Obviously it blue screened after it finished installing with whatever drivers I had on at the time.

    Hello all.

I would be very surprised if there are many problems at all.

Thanks for reminding me Barefoot Kid.

When I installed Windows 7 x64, it loaded all drivers automatically, even the Graphics Card driver which in my case, is Nvidia.

I installed Realtek manually and used my Vista driver for that with no problem. Then my Synaptics Driver also a 64 bit Vista driver, again with no problem.

I can honestly say that I do not think that there are going to be any driver issues with this o/s. So far it works seamlessly.

I too had no problems with drivers for this OS. I installed the vista drivers from nvidia which seemed to work seamlessly. A few things were updated from Windows Updates a few drivers I saw. But other then that things driver wise seem to be working perfectly.

I have installed Win7 Ultimate RC 64 bit on my Alienware m7700 Aurora. I cannot seem to find any drivers that will work for my Intel Pro Wireless card. Does anyone know where I can get one?
