sorry Then I really do have nothing to go on, a number or code on a chip, may have hinted to the manfacturer. Short of guessing and trying various drivers from the different manufacturers this is really not looking good
My stupidity. I looked at it again and it is not A/V its VIA the company name :)
Their manual says:
1394 Firewire controllers
A driver is built into Windows 7 by default. No extra download is required.
The card was originally misplaced or I do not know what. I took it out and back. Now is good. I only needed to modify the 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller to Legacy and it is working perfectly.
