I think you are perhaps a tad to carefull. That is the ccleaner site and you can load it for free from there, but cnet will do as well :)
I have one conclusion so far from reading your posts you seem to install then uninstall programs quite a lot. Nothing wrong here, but take note that they often do not uninstall cleanly which can cause problems. If you are carefull how often you use ccleaner reg cleaner it will help to reduce this risk, but you need to understand that ccleaner reg cleaner used unwisely can also make problems for you.

The main page of ccleaner is also very usefull and will clean your browser cache which may help with your problems :) you can use this bit as often as you want.

You need to open a new thread on main home page under window updates so the correct person or people can help with this problem :)

    Hiya POOCH,

I did click on the site and when I pressed to download it asked for credit card!! so came off and went to cnet :)

How you mean about the ccleaner making problems? even by using the registry cleaner which shows up any unnecessary things?

That is confusing, under where it asks for money are two links. one to Piriform and one to File Hippo, downloads are free from there too.
For a complete UNinstall of most software, try Revo Uninstaller Free.

    Hi,

Sorry I completely missed this post

I only mean that using registry cleaners to often is considered risky but in your case I think letting it run through once would do far more good than the risks. It might even help with your I.E problem.

I think you will be fine Angie, I use Ccleaner to securely erase all temp files and use the registry cleaner daily. Before you delete the reg entries you will always get a list and you can check off which to keep/trash. With Win7 I have had very few bad registry entries but XP always had load.
Ccleaner has never deleted something important.

Piriform also has some other cool programs, Speccy which will give you system info and Defraggler, a defragging utility.
