    vista driver to windows 7

Is it possible to recompile a vista driver to windows 7? I can install the driver, but when I try to use the configuration program for the driver an error message pops up saying that the driver/software is not installed correctly.

There are a lot of Vista drivers that would work with 7 but I'm not sure about recompiling a driver.

Is there not a Windows 7 driver available for this device, what are you trying to get this driver for?

Have you tried installing the driver in Compatibilty Mode?

Right-click the driver installer and choose Properties followed by the Compatibility tab.

Choose the option for Windows Vista Service Pack 2, select Run as Administrator under Privilege Level and apply the changes.
